Thank you for selecting The Arthritis and Joint Center of Florida for your orthopaedic care. We hope that the information provided here will answer any questions that you may have regarding office policies and procedures that may affect your visit with us. Office Hours
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m and 8:00 a.m. to Noon on Fridays. Dr. King and PA Burnett see patients in the office on Tuesday and Thursday. They are in surgery on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Preparing for your Appointment
Please bring the following with you to your appointment:
1. All paperwork/forms for our office must be filled out. You can download them (CLICK HERE) from our website.
2. You must bring all x-rays taken at another facility within the past year.
3. A list of your current medications, including dosages and frequency.
4. All insurance information and a photo I.D.
Medical Records
Medical records are copied every other Wednesday. If you need your records, please notify us at (321) 956-1501 Ext. 1203, and we will make them available for pick-up on the next business day.
Emergencies
If you have an orthopaedic emergency, please call the office for instructions at (321) 956-1501. After hours on weekends and holidays, the office telephone recording will instruct you on how to reach a provider. In a life threatening situation, either call 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room. The physician on duty in the emergency room will begin treatment and contact the orthopaedic physician on call if necessary.
Payment Services
It is the office policy that payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept Cash, Checks, VISA, and MasterCard. We participate in the following insurance plans: Medicare, Health First Medicare, Health First Commercial HMO, Aetna PPO, HMO and POS, BCBS PPO, PPS and HMO, RR Medicare, United Healthcare, Cigna, Tricare and Mailhandlers. Please keep in mind that your insurance may require authorization to see a specialist. We recommend that you contact your insurance plan to find out if an authorization is required. If your plan is not listed or you have questions, please contact the billing specialist at (321) 956-1501 Ext. 1204.
